It typically includes things like uptime signals, SSL and HTTPS hygiene (including mixed content), page speed and mobile friendliness, broken links and redirects, key SEO basics (titles, descriptions, headings, alt text, sitemap), and in higher tiers, accessibility and usability checks.

Do you need my logins, hosting access, or admin passwords?

No. The checks are carried out externally, using your public website, so in most cases we only need your website URL. We do not need access to your hosting, CMS, analytics, or email accounts to run the report.

Will you change anything on my site, install anything, or break something?

Accepted Answer

No. We do not make changes to your website. The report is based on external checks and observations at the time of testing, and it’s designed to highlight issues and priorities rather than apply fixes.

How do you run the checks?

We use a combination of specialist scanning and testing tools and then translate the outputs into clear findings and priorities. The toolset can include crawlers and checkers depending on the tier and what’s being tested.

How quickly will I receive the report?

For the audit or subscription, the process is: you purchase, share your website URL, we run the checks, then we email your PDF report, typically within 24 hours.

If I disagree with a result, what happens?

Tell us and we will sanity-check it. Sometimes issues are intermittent (for example, a temporary server wobble), or a page may behave differently for different locations/devices. We’ll explain what we saw, why it was flagged, and what evidence supports it (usually example URLs or a clear symptom).

Do you fix the issues for me?

SiteScanly is the 'find and prioritise' service, not primarily a service for implementing changes. Many customers use the report to brief their developer or agency. If you want help implementing, you can use the report as a ready-made task list and source of priorities. If you do not have anyone to help you, get in touch and we can help or find the right person to assist you.

Can I cancel, and what happens to my reports?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Subscriptions are month-to-month. If you cancel, you simply stop receiving future monthly reports. Any PDFs you have already received are yours to keep, so you still have a record of findings and priorities.

Question 10

How do I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

Email us from the address used for your subscription with the subject Cancel subscription. We’ll cancel it for you and confirm by reply. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current paid period and it will not renew after that date. We manage cancellations via Stripe, so you’ll also receive an automated Stripe confirmation once it’s been cancelled.
